The Atlanta Hawks will take on the Philadelphia 76ers in the second round. Game 1 is at home on Sunday. The team will try to win even without joel embiid injury, who was injured in Game 4 against Washington Wizards.

The team called it right knee soreness. The big fella was later diagnosed with a small lateral meiscus tear in his right leg. He is currently listed as day to day.

It was speculated that he might have sustained the injury in Game 4 but it went unnoticed until the night in D.C.

Doc Rivers said that it was an injury sustained in Game 4. “That’s pretty much been clarified.”

Rivers stated that Embiid just did some individual stuff on Saturday and not any live ball. The same thing happened Friday.

Rivers said, “The same.” Rivers said that Rivers did a bit of floor work, but nothing live. I can confirm this today. He did the best he could.

Game 1 will be played on Sunday, at 1 p.m. Eastern Time (EDT) with the Hawks of Wells Fargo Center.

Instead, the center’s return could give the 76ers an important boost going into the key series.

This was something we could have predicted. Davis drew 14,129 to the same venue on Dec. 28, 2019 for a less appealing match with Yuriorkis Gamoa. A mile further down, there was the Peach Bowl. This is where LSU and Oklahoma met to a record 78,347. One could have taken in both attractions, as the Davis-Gamboa fight was already over. However, the football game overlapped with the Undercard and it is doubtful that many people saw both.
